The show tells the story of Jack Malone, a frustrated writer who lives upstairs from a cabaret and seeks inspiration for his next work. From his grimy, cockroach-infested apartment Malone watches various city types emerge and perform circus acts – sometimes in a delicate balance, like the construction worker who does a handstand on two masts.

In addition to balancing acts, Night features many circus techniques and equipment, such as juggling, acrobatics and aerial pole dancing. The original soundtrack is performed live and accompanied by multimedia projections. The set design is dark, recreating a film noir atmosphere, a style that was popular in the United States in the 1940s and 50s.

Created in London in 2005, and then established in São Paulo, TrixMix Cabaret has produced over 80 shows and performed at events such as the Asian Olympic Games (Doha, 2006), the Australian Now Festival and previous editions of CIRCOS – Sesc International Circus Festival.
