This activity is an introduction to circus performance geared at children and adults with no previous experience. Circus Park is divided into five introductory stations covering different circus skills, with wooden structures specially designed by the artist to facilitate learning and stimulate motor coordination, body awareness and overcoming obstacles. It will include the principles of techniques such as juggling, acrobatics and balancing, along with trampolines and collective games.
“The idea is to play circus. There is no competition. We want to explore the act of doing something together”, says Caraballo.
Supervised by instructors who are circus artists themselves and will be wearing circus-inspired costumes, the activities will take place at several units of Sesc São Paulo, and there is no need to pre-register in order to participate.
Specialized in clowning, juggling and acrobatics, Gonzalo Caraballo is a native of Uruguay who has been living in Brazil since 2001. A graduate of Circo Escola Picadeiro, he founded Cia. Circo Delírio in 2003, along with Esteban Hetsch, who is from Argentina. He created Parque do Circo in 2013. Lua Tatit is a dancer, choreographer and body therapist, with a degree in Communications of Body Arts from PUC-SP, as well as specialization in Body: Dance, Theater and Performance from ESCH.
