Lined up like dominoes, books fall to the ground, forming a circle that determines the space of action for a couple. The universe of reading gains a poetic perspective, representing a moment of isolation and the intention to let reflections flow naturally, without the distractions typical of the contemporary world.

Artist Deborah Cobos explains that the set represents “a paper landscape, a mountain of letters, through which the characters walk.” For her, the show “is like a little poem”.

Ex-libris presents dance, acrobatics and circus techniques, such as walking globe, in which the artists walk and balance on a ball. The artists handle books at all times, like when Cobos flies across the stage with a book in her hand. The action is guided by a live soundtrack featuring acoustic guitar and vocals.

Cia Voël, established in Catalonia in 2017, focuses its research on acrobatics and the Russian cradle technique, in which one artist swings the other as in a seesaw.
