An international circus company is abandoned on a road by a river in Ecuador, and welcomed by peasants, with whom they begin to live and share the space. These two universes exchange their experiences in a bamboo-like set. The artists teach circus tricks to their hosts, who, in turn, show the outsiders how to harvest the bamboo. It is a poetic encounter of art and nature.

Prosaic elements of the daily routine of a rural community are incorporated into the performance, such as straw sacks that become the base for acrobatic jumps. In one of the most striking moments, the group builds a huge 7.5-meter-tall bamboo structure, which resembles a circus tent and is used for aerial acrobatics with ropes.

The meeting of these two worlds, artists and peasants, brings a humanist message, according to Leandro Mendoza Artagaveitia, the director of the show. “Starting from nature, people can come together and build something, taking advantage of luck and chance.”

The rhythm of the performance is set by contemporary dance and live music, with voice, guitar, percussion and marimba.
